Village Healthcare is a social enterprise of Rural and Remote Medical Services Ltd (RARMS).
RARMS is an Australian health charity established in 2001 to support vulnerable rural and remote, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, communities to establish and operate community-based medical centres in their towns.
Today we deliver access to reliable, safe and high-quality health and medical care for more than 20,000 people delivered by doctors, nurses and health staff who live and work in these communities.
Without RARMS, these communities would be forced to rely on fly-in, fly-out doctor services, Telehealth and outreach programs.
For communities with high levels of chronic disease, this would lead directly to the avoidable deaths and hospitalisation of many people in these communities.
Being a patient of Village Healthcare means that every time you come to one of our Village Healthcare practices, you are helping to ensure affordable access to high quality healthcare for some of the most vulnerable Australians.
